Christmas Sandwich

What you'll need

  • 2 slices of bread (your choice)
  • Cranberry sauce
  • Mayo
  • Stuffing
  • Leftover turkey and gammon
  • Pigs in blanket (optional)
  • Sprout Slaw
  • Cheese (your choice)

 

FOR THE SAUCE
• 100g brown sugar
• 100g SPAR enjoy local butter
• 200ml SPAR enjoy local double cream
• 20g sea salt
• A handful of pecan nuts, to serve

Method

Bread: Start with two slices of fresh, crusty white or wholemeal bread, or even a soft brioche bun for a touch of sweetness. You decide!

Spread: Add a generous layer of cranberry sauce and mayo on one slice and a dollop of sage and onion stuffing on the other.

Meats: Pile on thick slices of leftover roast turkey and gammon for that classic Christmas flavour.

Pigs in Blankets: Add a couple of pigs in blankets for a deliciously salty, savoury hit.

Cheese: Melted brie or cheddar brings a rich, creamy texture to the mix.

Top it off: Close up the sandwich, press lightly, and enjoy!
