Crumlin has a new look, state-of-the-art EUROSPAR thanks to a £1.1m refurbishment of the existing store by owners Henderson Retail.
The 7,438 sq. ft. community supermarket now also boasts a Barista Bar Café, an extension of the hugely successful own brand coffee and the second branded coffee shop to open in Northern Ireland. The café offers a range of customisable coffees, hot and iced drinks, complemented by light bites and ice cream menus along with a display of tasty treats, all available to sit-in or takeaway.
For those needing a caffeine fix on the go, the store has also installed new look self- serve Barista Bar machines and stands offering a broader range of freshly made coffees and hot chocolate drinks.
Further enhancing its food-to-go offering, the store has a new look for its dailyDeli brand, with even more hot food on offer, a Mauds Ice Cream counter, Subway and the new SPAR Bakery range of freshly baked goods, from croissants to bloomers, in store.
The dailyDeli boasts the recently launched new range of hot food dishes and a new self-serve Chicken Pick & Mix with options for snacking, lunch and sharing.
One of the most significant changes in-store is the expansion and investment in the Butchery department showcasing new ranges, great value and service.
Store Manager Robert Foster says he’s proud to unveil the new look store and bring so many more services to the area; “our store has always been about bringing convenience for our local shoppers, and the refurb has allowed us to expand our car park making the trip to the local supermarket easier for our loyal shoppers. Inside, we have also invested in self check outs and a vastly expanded butchery department for our in-house butcher, Brian Price.
“B. Price Meats has been with us for eight years and has over 40 years’ experience. Brian is well-known in the area, sourcing all meat from Lakeview Farm Meats, just down the road which is very important to us.”
In fact, EUROSPAR Crumlin now has 55 bays dedicated to the fresh produce and products that are sourced from local farmers, growers and suppliers.
Mark McCammond, Henderson Retail Director says provenance, value and shopper experience are top priorities for their stores; “working with Henderson Property, we were able to adapt this store to reflect what’s important to the local shoppers. We have a full supermarket range showcasing an abundance of local butchery, bakery, dairy and produce suppliers. Consumers will also find terrific deals, benefit from our Tesco Price Match promise on over 900 lines and hopefully enjoy our new relaxation area with Barista Bar Café.
“We’re very proud to reopen the store to the local community after a 13-week renovation and we thank shoppers for their patience!”
EUROSPAR Crumlin now employs 43 staff, and is officially open now, 6am – midnight, seven days a week.
