Baked Pears & Ice Cream

  • 4 Pears
  • 2 Tablespoons Maple Syrup
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 4 Scoops Vanilla Ice Cream

Method 

  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
  2. Carefully peel the pears, but leave the stem intact. Cut I half and scoop out the seeds using a spoon.
  3. Mix the maple syrup, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon in a small bowl until evenly combined.
  4. Place the pears in a baking dish and pour over the maple syrup mixture. Bake for 20-30 minutes until soft and caramelised.
  5. Let them cool for a few minutes and serve each two with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Drizzle ice cream with maple syrup for an extra sweet touch.
