Orange Braised Carrots

Ingredients

  • 1kg SPAR carrots peeled
  • 200g unsalted butter
  • 1 onion, sliced thinly
  • 2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • 250ml orange juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Method 

  • In a large saucepan, add the butter, onion, pepper and turmeric, then cook until the onion is soft.
  • Add the carrots, orange juice and salt to the pan, then cover and cook until tender and the liquid is almost gone (about 12-15 minutes).
